History

The Historic Lahr was built in the 1830’s as one of the first hotels in the mid-west. The Milwaukee building was built in the 1860’s and connected to the Lahr. This making the hotel the largest in Indiana at the time. In 1995 the building was, considered to be, one of the most endangered structures. Soon after it was purchased and completely renovated officially becoming “The Historic Lahr Apartments”. In 2015 Core Redevelopment purchased the building and completely upgraded everything.
